You’ve got questions, I’ve (hopefully) got answers!

 

Do you hand paint all of the illustrations?

Yes! They’re original, custom watercolors that are hand painted in my Northern California studio, then scanned into the computer.


How do revisions work?

Once your artwork is completed, I’ll send you a proof via email. If you’d like edits, just reply via email. One round of edits is included with your purchase.


How are the art prints framed?

Prints are printed and framed by yours truly in a chic, natural frame with an elegant depth and lovely corner joinery detail.


Do I need to have my artwork framed?

Nope! There’s an option for Digital File / No Frame under framing options.

How long will my artwork take?

Right now turnaround time from order to initial artwork is two weeks, faster if I can!


Is gift wrap available?

Yes! I'll wrap your gift in neutral paper + ribbon, and include a handwritten card with your note, at no extra charge. Just select gift wrap at checkout, and be sure to include a note!


Do you ship internationally?

I don’t ship internationally, but I do offer digital downloads that can be framed locally!


What’s your social media policy?

Social media is a huge part of running a small business today. As such, I may use elements of my custom commissioned artworks or the artwork in its entirety on my social media channels. If you would rather I didn’t, no problem! Just let me know at laine@storyinkdesign.com or include a note with your artwork intake form.

Do I have to choose which images to use on my artwork?

Nope! Just give me your stories, and I’ll come up with something great. That said, if you have something specific in mind, you can share it on the post-order intake form.


I’m not a great writer. Can you edit and polish my story?

That’s ok! Just share your story in your own words, and I’ll edit for length and create titles, while keeping your unique voice intact.


Can I place a custom order?

Yes! Want more images, or less? Have an idea for a new artwork style? I’m game. Just drop me a line at laine@storyinkdesign.com.


What’s your return policy?

Due to the custom nature of the art that I create, I cannot accept returns. That said, I stand behind my work. If you aren’t happy with your finished piece, please email me at laine@storyinkdesign.com and I’ll work with you to make it right.
